Okey dokey. I finally decided I should have a blog, and a place to post art that doesn't make it to my website (www.faeriechilde.com) I'll try to keep it updated as much as possible with news, musings, and of course, art!
I was born and raised (and still live) in the desert southwest.
I paint, draw, sculpt, write, and perform, so I guess I deserve the title “Artist.”
A parade of animals have graced my life. Right now, Merry and Pippin (my yellow tabbies), and my new baby Griffin (an Akbash/Pyrenees mix), share my home, and my horse, Maeve, lives with Keith and Mary, who share her with me. Animals bring me more joy than just about anything else.
I love books. I’m an avid reader of just about anything, although my taste tends toward fantasy and faerie tales most of the time. I also enjoy reading history, biography, and poetry. I’ve worked in several bookstores - my book collection is enormous.
I’ve done many roles in Albuquerque community theatre, including Sally Durant in Follies, Emma Goldman in Assassins, Mrs. Kendal in Elephant Man, Myrtle in Morning’s At Seven, Lily in A Man of No Importance, Sister Mary Leo in Nunsense Jamboree, and most recently, Meg Boyd in Damn Yankees. I’ve also costumed Grease, Little Moon Theater, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Rocky Horror, Live! Theatre is magic, and I am grateful that there are so many local venues.
